Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance is PlatinumGames' 2013 character-action title: cyborg Raiden slices enemies and hardware in Blade Mode with slow motion. Cutscenes and Jamie Christopherson's score sit beside bosses such as Sundowner and Monsoon. The story follows Metal Gear after MGS4, yet the pace is closer to Bayonetta than stealth. After a fight Raiden siphons electrolyte from wreckage: the resource fuels his shield and unlocks Blade Mode executions.
