Valor Mortis

Valor Mortis is a first-person soulslike from the creators of Ghostrunner. You wake in the body of a former soldier of Napoleon's army in an alternate Europe gripped by a strange plague, cutting through monsters and a conspiracy. Combat runs on parrying and precise counters: the rapier cannot block, but it turns fights into a swift dance, while a pistol and supernatural powers reach distant foes. The world splits into connected zones with side paths and shortcut tags at bonfires, and boss fights demand that you learn their attacks. Weapons and abilities unlock as the story moves.
