Product description

The wild success that fell upon Ilf and Petrov after the release of The Twelve Chairs prompted the co-authors to “resurrect” their hero, the son of a Turkish citizen Ostap Bender. The brilliant dilogy, according to the authors themselves, is “not fiction. It could have been funnier." This is an encyclopedia of the Soviet NEP, an encyclopedia of the life of the first generation of "ball".
