Hunter: Call of the Wild - Taiga Bear (DLC)
You hunted among the hills of Hirschfelden and explored the iconic Lake Leighton area. Now prepare for nature's toughest conditions on a rare hunting expedition to Bear Taiga National Park. Inspired by the rugged, frozen landscape of Siberia, you'll walk across the unforgiving tundra, enter drunken forests and venture across a frozen bay. Here, the weather can turn in an instant, leaving you in swirling snow and surrounded by cracked ice.
TAIGA BEAR ANIMALS
Despite its gloomy appearance, Bear Taiga National Park is seething with life. You'll find prey such as Musk Deer, Reindeer (also known as Caribou in North America) and Wild Boar. But larger species also roam. The majestic Elk travels these plains, as does the fierce Brown Bear. Perhaps the most unique of all - hunters in this reserve will encounter a highly intelligent and ghostly Lynx.
OBJECTIVES AND MEASURES
The outdoor world of Bear Taiga National Park measures 25 square miles (64 square kilometers), the same impressive size as Hirschfelden and the Leighton Lake District. It features a brand new, immersive narrative with 32 missions, 50 side missions and countless unique landmarks.
You take on the role of expert survivor and hunter hired to help Alena Khasavovna and her scientific expedition. As well as being a highly skilled climatologist, Alena hails from a reindeer herder living in the region and offers her a unique insight into its problems. The expedition starts badly and you have to get your group together, help the locals and make sure everyone goes through the expedition in one piece. But it won't be easy. Not everyone - and everyone - wants you to do well.
SHARE YOUR EXPERIENCES
As with previous paid DLCs, players who do not own the content themselves can join a multiplayer game set in Bear Tyga National Park for free by finding the player who owns it and simply joining their game. Multiplayer games allow hunters to compete or collaborate - the latter should prove useful in this complex reserve. Finally, ATVs (available as a separate DLC purchase) are of course fully functional here. Driving on ice is as fun as breaking nerves.
DRESS UP, HIT THE ROAD
To celebrate the release of the Bear Taiga National Park DLC, all players of theHunter: Call of the Wild will receive a free new set of clothing (purchased with in-game currency) to enjoy at any of the game's hunting reserves. And available exclusively for players brave enough to take to Siberia, there may just be a variant of one of the game's weapons waiting for you as you progress through the new storyline...
WASTELAND FULL OF LIFE
Bear Taiga National Park has a dramatic setting different from what you've seen (let alone hunt inside). The permafrost covering the region created a massive sinkhole and caused clusters of trees to grow with shallow roots, causing them to bend over and form the distinctive Drunken Forest.
Even rock formations do not remain untouched by the elements. The impressive Lena pillars were polished and formed by the elements for millennia, slowly carving out their unique silhouettes.
