The Kurzhaar is your new hunting companion. Representatives of this breed are designed for one purpose: to lead the hunter directly to game. On command, the Kurzhaar begins chasing any animal, with the exception of large predators, which significantly simplifies the search for game.

Quick Animal Search

Thanks to its ability to track game of all classes (except dangerous predators), the Kurzhaar increases hunting efficiency. It helps find more animals and detect their tracks faster.

The Kurzhaar possesses additional useful traits. For example, it can search for animals of a specific species after discovering their tracks and interacting with them.

Various Stances

The dog's behavior during the hunt depends on the selected commands. However, when the dog finds an animal, you will immediately know from its stance.

Kurzhaar stances description:

• "Search in a small radius" (small game). The dog searches for game nearby. Upon detecting a target, it assumes a "stand" pointing toward it and waits for a command before flushing out the animal.
• "Search in a medium radius" (medium game). The dog searches for game in a wider radius but stays close enough so you can notice the "stand." It is important to watch the dog, as if it remains standing for too long, the game may escape.
• "Search in a large radius" (large game). The dog searches for large game, which is less likely to be scared by its presence, in a large radius. Upon catching the scent, it signals the way to the target.
• Directional stance. The dog moves ahead, "pointing" at the animal you have spotted.
• Visual/Scenthound stance (trait). Upon discovering animal tracks or scat, you can direct the dog to search specifically for that species.

Training Hunting Dogs

Owners of Bloodhounds or Labrador Retrievers are in for a pleasant surprise. In the new free update, you can train your four-legged partner, combining skills from two breeds. For example, by combining the skills of the Kurzhaar and the Retriever, you can teach the dog to flush out birds and retrieve shot game.
